Skenfrith Castle is a Norman stone fortress located in Monmouthshire, near the Welsh-English border.

Built in the late 11th century, it formed part of the defensive strategy along the Welsh Marches, alongside nearby Skenfrith and Grosmont.

Cilgerran Castle stands above a steep gorge of the River Teifi in west Wales. Built in the early 13th century, it played a key role in defending the contested borderlands between Norman lords and native Welsh rulers.

Tretower Court and Castle sit in the Usk Valley at the edge of the Black Mountains in Powys. The site includes a ruined Norman castle and a well-preserved medieval manor house.

Abergavenny Castle is a ruined Norman fortress in South Wales. It was first built in 1087 by the Norman lord Hamelin de Balun to secure the borderlands.
